Creativity is in the eye of the creator

This statement is so true, creativity is in the eye of the creator. This is creativity in the eye of my little creator.
Her creativity is very persistent
Reggio say creativity contaminates, I say creativity is contagious
So now I have evolved her with the clean up
Creativity is not always where you would expect because creativity is very difficult to contain to one area. There is also a huge amount of brain growth that comes from accepting another persons point of creativity. Unfortunately we all have unconscious thoughts and actions that spring up and take over from our own experiences with art as students, but what I want to do is to help you see another point of view so you can learn to recognise when unconscious and historical reactions are hindering creativity.

Aniela's first fine art medium

First experiences in art making are very dear to me, I have long advocated for teachers to be gentle with a child's first experience.
I have written in depth on the subject, and eventually I will get back to expressing those views, but for now I want to clarify my point by showing my daughters first experience with her fine art medium.
I can't help but wonder what others would want to do if they were faced with this first experience.
What would you expect of this child?
Would you accept this point of view?
This is the very first time Aniela has handled a medium that is capable of making a mark.
Would you rush in and correct her?
Would you need to show her how to handle the chalk to manipulate it for mark making?

The equipment is all ready, the chalk has been examined, handled, the box has been emptied, now what do you expect to happen?
Very young children have the delectable ability to see an object as completely unique and raw, they make there first choices from instinct.
They are feeling there way through an idea, and it gives them great pleasure.
There is no right or wrong way to use chalk, it wipes off most surfaces, it is non toxic, and when it is wet it has a very soft velvet texture. This was Aniela's first experience with chalk, there was no need for my input, because it wasn't my experience. Aniela was delighted with her first experience, so much so that she has had many more experiences with chalk, these experiences foster a will to continue, to enquire, engage, revisit as well as many more. Please dont let your expectations and knowledge over cloud the child's expectations.

Welcome to my blog

I just thought i would create a blog to keep me on track with all the ideas and motivation i have at the momment.

i would like to credit my new found ambition to Reggio Emilia and the Centro Linguaggi del Bambino for you will forever be my inspiration.

I have come to realise that when you talk about your ideas and try things out to see where you can take your ideas you are capable of great achievements, and what is failure, failure is simply not trying.
Failure is letting barriers over come your thinking and judgements, barriers can only be placed there my someone or something, get around the barriers i say!
In fact welcome barriers, because they really help you to think in a creative way.

There is the saying that everyone can be creative, but i dont agree, because you must have creative thought patterns, and some people have black and white thought patterns and are not open to change.
So perhaps everyone could be creative, but they need to be in a space in there lives where they are willing to assess there thought making and be open to adjusting it.
To these people i say, go to Reggio Emilia!

so this is my blog of trying, connecting and networking.
It is just about work in progress.
I am going to share my ideas and my writting with a few people that know i am quite creative so if i invite you, perhaps you have been a motivator for me, so thank you.

Update.....
I just wanted to let the reader know that I used to have another blog called the Pennies Dropped and I lost the Domain name so I could not access it, But I have recently figured out how to copy it over to my new blog.
So most of these posts were written from 2010-2016.
A lot of my theories and thinkings have likely changed now so maybe ill write something new too.
Maybe......
